Also, something to really buy and you can try it if you want, is Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. I know is a lot of money but simply, you can't compare Adobe with Corel. Photoshop is not only good for animation, because that would be like... limiting the professionals imagination, and when you have imagination you software with POWER that can take where you want to go.

Photoshop by a country mile. It is the photo re-touchers main tool of the trade.
photoshop is much better. It has more capabilities, and is easier to use. though it can take a while to learn how to use it well if you don't know already.
