Drawing/Painting software program?

Is there any reasonably priced software on the market that I could use to add color to my art that I scan? Is there any free products online that I could download and trust?Drawing/Painting software program?

And there are some awesome tutorials out there. The GIMP is like pretty much the only program I use to make my pixel dolls. It rocks. And it's free! Better than photoshop for sure except with it's dodge/burn and smudge. I think photoshop's dodge/burn and smudge tools are better. Everything else is fine.Drawing/Painting software program?

Gimp is free, legal OpenSource software. It can be hard to use because its interface is different from Photoshop. But it is a product you can trust, many people use it and there is a lot of support for it. There are user groups and forums, and tutorials you can find on the internet, and even a couple of books. You will have to take the time to learn it (but that's true for any reasonably complex and capable application).

GIMP (http://gimp.com) is a good program to use, as it comes with lining and coloring. If you're looking for basic coloring, most Windows computers come with MS Paint (go to Start, Accessories, Paint). Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro are pretty popular, but also pretty expensive, so you'll probably want to stick to one of the first two for now. Have fun!
