You should use a graphics pen and reader and use an Image editor, Photoshop is the best!

Go with adobe illustrator its great for that kindof thing... alittle expensive... but well worth it if you use it properly
Get a projecter and get a see through picture to put on it. Trace the picture on the wall, and then outline it and paint!!!
