This is to combine a photograph with a painting so the paint needs to stick permanently and be archival and not react with the photo (Epson K3 ink) or photo paper (Ilford)I want to literally paint on to a photograph (not through software) I'm wondering which type of paint to use?

Marshall's Introductory Oil Set, for Hand Coloring Black %26amp; White and Color PhotographsI want to literally paint on to a photograph (not through software) I'm wondering which type of paint to use?
I have done this art form for years. You need to purchase a special kit for photo painting--often sold at art stores or check on line. Before color photography all photos were in black and white-or sepia--then when a client wanted color, the photographer had to colorize the photo.
This is fun to do---you'll need to ';paint'; on black and white photos to practice. The oil paint just soaks right into the photo and creates a gorgeous almost other-worldly effect---have fun.
